Virologist on vaccine committees dies suddenly

Dr. A. Oveta Fuller, 67, associate professor of microbiology at University of Michigan, died from an unknown illness ‘unrelated to COVID’ Friday.

Fuller was a member of the FDA’s Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee, which approved COVID-19 vaccines and boosters in the United States for Emergency Use Authorization.

Why did the FDA need “Temporary Voting Members” on their Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee?  Who put them there?
